Although I do love a lot of my more luxurious, higher end products, most of my favourite makeup finds are from the drugstore which is music to my purses ears! I have brought together my favourite five things from high street stores that retail for under £5. They are such gems it would be rude not to share!
Collection Concealer – £4.19
The easiest, most obvious pick for this post. This concealer is full coverage yet creamy, available in 4 shades and is unbelievably good. It covers anything you need to cover and it also works really well under the eyes.
Sleek Blusher – £4.49
I love my Natural Collection, (Peach Melba) blush which is only £1.99 but that is the only one from the range that I like. Whereas the Sleek blusher range is phenomenal. They are an amazing dupe for NARS blushers and are a fraction of the price. The packaging is slick and compact and includes a mirror! The shade range is vast and there is bound to be something for everyone. The Sleek blushers are so pigmented – a little goes a long way! They also do 3 blush palettes which are a little more expensive but still amazing value. My favourites are ‘Rose Gold’ and ‘Pomegranate’.
Maybelline Color Tattoo – £4.99
I can’t ever imagine not having one of the Maybelline Color Tattoos in my makeup collection. They are SO good. As well as being a steal at £4.99, they also have a fantastic choice of colours. My favourite is ‘On and On Bronze’ which is a gold, bronzey shade that has a lovely finish. They work great as a base for other eyeshadows or look just as pretty on their own, all over the eyelid. A quick and easy one to apply!
Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick – £4.99
The Colour Drama Lipsticks are quite a recent launch from Maybelline and are a great dupe for the Nars Lip Pencils. They come in a range of colours and are essentially a matte lip colour which last such a long time on the lips! They have a creamy texture which makes them quite easy to work onto the lips and don’t feel too drying at all. The red is to die for!
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint – £3.99
Known for their affordable products and fun colours, Barry M is a brand that knows a thing or two about nail varnish! They do have a ‘Nail Paint’ which is only £2.99 and although they are good, my favourite formula of theirs is the ‘Gelly’ range. Fabulous colours, easy to apply and they have such a glossy finish. As the formula is much like a gel varnish, they last a fair amount of time on the nails too – especially when using a top coat!
Have you tried any of the above?
