The Simplicity of Accessorising

The Simplicity of Accessorising

On the ferry on the way back from France last week there was an Accessorize onboard. There were a lot of items in the sale and the items they had were all really lovely. It wasn’t one of those sales where only the rubbishy things were left!

I picked up two items. The first was a khaki green Fedora hat with a brown buckle belt. This was reduced from £29.00 to £14.50 – what a bargain! I love it that much that I would have paid full price for it. This is the third Fedora hat I own and I think they are such a classic accessory. It is such an easy way to add something to an outfit that gives it a bit more of an edge and makes it look like you have gone to a lot of effort. I love the way the colour of this one contrasts with my blonde hair and I think it is a great transition colour from Autumn/Winter to the warmer months.

The second item I spotted was a very glam clutch bag. This is such a beautiful piece and it was reduced to £9! It is big enough to fit in all the things you would need to take with you on a night out and also comes with a little strap to hook over your wrist. I think this bag is such a statement piece but it is also quite delicate and so pretty that it will be easy to style with lots of different looks.

I love to wear jewellery and I am such a girly girl when it comes to handbags, shoes and accessorising in general. I don’t buy things all that often, but when I do I look for really statement, classic pieces which will last me a long time and won’t go out of fashion too quickly.

How do you spruce up your outfits? What is your favourite accessory?
