I have a bit of a thing for makeup brushes. Since I started becoming more interested in beauty, my collection of brushes has grown from having just a couple, to having lots and lots! I love how a different brush can give such a different finish, and how they make the application of makeup so much more enjoyable. Real Techniques brushes were a game changer for me. They are available in Boots so are easy to get hold of as well as affordable, especially when compared to the likes of MAC. They have a vast range of brushes which wash incredibly well and do exactly what you want them to do.
When I saw they were bringing out a more premium, professional looking set of brushes I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of them! The Bold Metals Collection was launched earlier this year and includes 7 new brushes. Similarly to their main line, there are 3 categories; Face, Eyes and Finish, all distinguishable by colour.
These brushes are so soft and feel very luxurious. They have weighted handles making the brushes easier to use and allows for more precision. The shape of the handles also mean that they do not roll off of surfaces, HALLELUJAH! What a brilliant design. Apart from the flat top Contour brush, the rest of the line are all tapered brushes meaning pick-up of product is much more even and allows for a buildable finish. I have used mine a few times now and they are incredible, a bit more pricey than their standard range but you definitely get what you pay for.
