My Top Ten From Not On The High Street

When I first began to shop on Not On The High Street I felt like I was one of the only people to know about this quaint and quirky little shopping space on the internet. It was as though I had access to all of these wonderful gifts and homewares that nobody else knew about. All of a sudden more and more people were talking about the site, and little did I know but it was kind of a big deal. They released a TV advert and then boom, my secret wasn’t a secret anymore and the site happens to be shared by thousands of creators and shoppers. It is one of those websites you could browse for hours and buy everything you need, as well as everything you don’t. There is something for everybody, whether it is furniture you are after, a birthday card, a cheeseboard or children’s toys. As nothing is mass made, or indeed on the high street, the items feel a lot more personal and just that little bit different. I probably discovered Not On The High Street 3 years ago, and there was me thinking it was a new concept and that I was amongst the first to discover it. How naive? This year, they are celebrating their 10th birthday! They are offering customers 10% off in celebration and I thought I would put together a post of 10 of my favourite finds on the website.

These are currently wrapped around our bedhead, to add a cosy but pretty feeling to our bedroom! A little bit of a different take on your usual fairy lights, I love them.

I bought these such a long time ago but with moving house and still tackling boxes I have yet to unpack them! The colours of these coasters fit perfectly with our home and I love that they are so unique.

I have yet to dedicate a post to our wedding day, so I am letting you in on a little detail here! Tommy and I used these as our wedding favours! We personalised each one with a quote or message for each guest, they went down a treat. I think these make a really lovely gift, something thoughtful but quirky too.

I am a sucker for polka dots, especially when it comes to straws. The perfect way to make a garden party look extra cute – I have a drawer full!

Many businesses who are on ‘Not On The High Street’ offer personalised items. I am not the biggest fan of having things personalised. Unless you get it just right, a lot of the time I think it can look a bit cheesy. Not in this case, when we have our own little family I would absolutely love to have something like this Wellie print. I am SO tempted to see if we can get one for the dogs! You can choose which wellies you want too!

A wonderful place to find things for different occasions and events, but also for stationary, wrapping paper and cards. A personal favourite of mine are these invitations. This particular seller designs very dainty cards for various occasions, but we used these ones here as our ‘Wedding Party’ invites. You can customise the details you want printed inside to suit your occasion, they are so pretty!

A trend that has hit Pinterest by storm, and I hate to admit it but I jumped on the bandwagon. We used these to serve Pink Lemonade in at our wedding and I am CERTAIN drinks taste better out of these, (I will tell myself anything by way of justification)!

If you have been following my blog or YouTube channel for a while, you should know by now I have a soft spot for anything to do with the seaside. Perhaps it is because I am from Blackpool, perhaps it is because I like the colour blue and stripey things. I just cannot help myself, and every home needs a door stop, right?

Only a few weeks ago I ordered one of these vases but instead with a speckled pink bottom, rather than this beautiful blue. I wish I had seen this first, blue is my favourite colour and I think this particular shade really pops against the clay of the vase.

There you have it! My top 10 from Not On The High Street. It was more difficult than I had imagined, they have absolutely everything on this website! I could get lost for hours and hours. The service, layout, products and whole ethic behind this site is amazing, I will be using it for a long time to come. I hope this post has conveyed just how much I love Not On The High Street and that hopefully some of you will find the same joy in it that I do!
