I was recently sent a few products from the brand ‘Mandara Spa’ to try. I had never before heard of the brand or any of their products which having now done my research, I am a little embarrassed to admit. Mandara Spa’s can be found all over the world, from Russia, to London and even at Orlando! I have the body scrub, bath and shower oil and some bath soaks to try.
It isn’t often you come across products for the bath or shower that feel a lot more expensive and luxurious to use than they actually are. The ‘Bali Santi’ range is one of many from Mandara Spa and has a lovely, sophisticated and subtle sent to it. It is definitely a range that could be enjoyed by men and women as there is nothing to feminine or masculine about the scent. The range includes mostly coconut oil as well as almond oil and spices, but it doesn’t smell strongly of any.
So, onto the actual products. The bath soaks were the first things I used and they are heavenly. They are not too heavily scented and create a good lather. Unlike some bath soaks, they didn’t leave my skin with a tacky or greasy feeling, but instead moisturised and smelling lovely! The bath & shower oil was the one I was most excited to use as I have never tried anything like it before. I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting this to be quite runny and greasy with it being an oil, but it wasn’t. The texture of the oil is quite thick, still runny, but easy to manage and not messy at all. It sank into my skin straight away and once rinsed, left my skin feeling soft and nourished.
I am always on the hunt for a good body scrub. This one may be my new favourite as it incorporates two of my highest requirements when it comes to a scrub. The first is that it actually does something. The little black beads are so tiny but my goodness do they work! They offer a good level of exfoliation without feeling too harsh. The second requirement is that it feels moisturising rather than drying. As there is such a nice balance of scrub and cream in this product, it leaves my skin feeling so moisturised that I almost feel it could be a two in one product. Once the beads have been washed away, the cream goes to a milk like texture and is so creamy, it is a lovely scrub.
I am so impressed with this range. It isn’t often products from a brand that I haven’t tried before ‘wow’ me, but these are so lovely and affordable too! Unless you have been living under a rock, we have all been made aware of how amazing coconut oil is supposed to be for us and our bodies. The Bali Santi range from Mandara Spa to me, is a way of incorporating the new coconut craze in a much more luxurious and stylish way.
