I have really been trying to get into using matte eyeshadows more often lately. I love the way, used on their own, they make eyes really pop and look so defined. When I first saw this palette in Superdrug I loved the colours and the tones but I hadn’t heard much about it. It took me about a couple of weeks to eventually go back and pick it up – I have no willpower when it comes to makeup! The palette cost £10.99 (currently £8.99 on offer here!) and is from the makeup brand GOSH, available in Superdrug. I used it for the first time in a video which I will pop at the bottom of this post if you would like to see it in action.
As far as matte eyeshadows go, these are one of the best formulas I have ever tried. Matte eyeshadows have a bad reputation. They are known for being difficult to blend and a tad on the chalky side. Not these ones! Although all quite cool toned, there is a real mix of shades, from pale highlight shades, to browns and greys. Not only is this palette perfect for create a look with one product, but the shadows can all be used individually in a number of different ways.
The swatches are true to the quality of the shadows – this is the colour payoff from one swatch. They are so creamy and pigmented, they blend beautifully – I am honestly blown away by the quality.
I am now, obviously, tempted to check out some more palettes from GOSH – is there anything you would recommend?
