It has been almost 3 months since I launched this blog and only 2 months since I began making YouTube videos. It has gone so quickly and I have been completely overwhelmed with all of the support and lovely comments I have received. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, I enjoy beauty, writing and in general just talking about things that I love. When I started talking about writing a blog and making videos, I would get such funny responses as not all people are familiar with this community and to most, it seems a bit strange. Even after these past few months, I don’t think many of the people I know have really come to grips with what I am doing.
I wanted to write this post today as for me, it is quite a big thing to be able to say that I am proud of myself. It isn’t something that just rolls off of the tongue, but I am proud of this blog and my YouTube channel and mostly of myself for actually doing it. It is quite scary, putting things out to hundreds of people on the Internet a few times a week, not knowing what the response will be. It is quite astonishing to see how just a little bit of courage can make such a difference. I was petrified of launching this website, I kept putting it off until I finally found the confidence somewhere to just do it and I can honestly say I am so glad I did.

Every day, we will all come across something we feel that we can’t do, many of us will have people looking over our shoulders telling us we can’t, won’t or shouldn’t. I know that it easier said than done, to say, “just try, give it a go” when it seems like you are reaching too high. The truth is, only you can tell yourself to do it and get on with it. It is lovely to have people around you that want you to do well but nobody will understand it like you do. You have to find the strength from somewhere within you to go after what it is you want because nobody else will make it happen for you.

I used to panic so much about what I wanted to do with my life career wise. It has taken me a long time and a lot of sleepless nights to realise that I am still only 23 and for now I just want to do something that makes me happy. It won’t all happen at once, but by believing in yourself, you might make it happen a bit quicker.
Try to make everything count, have a little faith. What have you got to lose?
