Wishlist | Autumn 2015

It is that ‘transitional’ time of year again. It isn’t Summer yet but it isn’t quite Autumn either. Summer clothing has been in the sales for weeks now, annoying anyone who bought anything in the early Summer months. For me, most of the warm weather clothing I had bought didn’t make it out of the wardrobe before the sales had started!

 

Being on holiday and with the change in seasons, it doesn’t really feel like I have bought much for a while. Once these feelings start, I then begin browsing websites and conjuring long lists of things I would absolutely love to get my hands on. This blog post also doubles up as a draft for my Christmas List this year!

I was recently at a bloggers event & two of the lovely girls I met, Sam & Lola, were both wearing the most delightful looking watches. You may have heard me mention in videos how I don’t really like to wear bracelets or watches because I feel like they make my hands look manly. Well this is something I am going to have to get over because I really need one of these watches. They are beautiful. Olivia Burton’s range offers a vast array of watches which are inspired by both vintage and catwalk looks. I think my favourite is the one with the rose gold clock face and mint strap!

Before we went on holiday a few weeks ago, we made a quick trip to the Trafford Centre in Manchester on the way to the airport. (Tommy couldn’t find his swimming shorts and he wanted a pair of white Converse). We dashed into Schuh and whilst we were waiting for the sales assistant to bring out his size I spotted the most adorable pair! My white converse are probably my most worn shoe on a day to day basis, they are just so easy to throw on. These ones however, have baby pink and light grey incorporated in them! When I am due my next pair of Converse, these are definitely the ones I will be getting!

BECCA is a brand that I hadn’t heard much about until I started reading beauty blogs! They have recently teamed up with Jaclyn Hill (YouTuber) and created this highlighter, called ‘Champagne Pop’. I am not usually one to give into the hype of products brought out by ‘well known’ people shall we say, but this looks like the real deal. I don’t really buy into celebrity perfumes, or products famous people put their name to because they can – I like to make my own mind up. It would be very easy to say I loved a limited edition bag of sprouts by Joe Bloggs, just because I love Joe Bloggs, but I hate sprouts! This highlighter has peach and golden undertones, which is my favourite kind and as it is limited edition I feel even more compelled to buy it!

I took the book, ‘A Man Called Ove’ by Frederik Backman to Mykonos with me and I didn’t want to put it down, I enjoyed it so much! I found the author’s style of writing really easy to follow and the characters in the book were so well described. The story from start to finish was so lovely and I immediately wanted to find out if Frederik Backman had written anything else. Thankfully, he has! There was a little preview of his next book, ‘My Grandmother Sends Her Regards & Apologises’ at the end of the one I had finished reading and it seems just as charming as ‘A Man Called Ove’.

Every year I tell myself I don’t need to buy another coat and then a brand rustle something as beautiful as this up and that’s it, I’m smitten. The soft pink coat together with the cream faux fur just looks so heavenly! I love coats with a belt too as they help nip me in at the waist making me look a bit slimmer and like I have more shape! It looks so snuggly and soft and I am already dreaming about how to style it.

The ‘New Whites’ Collection by Nails Inc launched a few months ago and I refrained from joining in with the hype and rushing out to buy any of them at the time. Well, now I have my eye on this one. This collection includes four different polishes, all very light pastel shades. I picked up the shade ‘White Horse Street’ on holiday, which is a pale grey, but they had sold out of ‘Swan Street’. Since starting this blog and also my YouTube channel, I have gotten so much more into photography. I always loved it, but lately all I want to do is walk around with my camera and take pictures. I want to invest in another lens for my camera to improve the quality of my pictures and videos. I am thinking of purchasing a wide angled lens to enable me to do just that.

Caged shoes are even more popular this season than last and I love these ones from River! I have a black pair from Primark which I bought a couple of months ago and feel like I could conquer the world when I wear them. I wish I had bought the cream pair at the same time, as they were a fraction of the price of these! But just look at the details – do I, don’t I? I have a little tip on how to save 25% on River Island coming up in tomorrow’s post too! Even more tempting…

I first saw a Frock & Frill dress on ASOS and have been waiting for a reason to buy one ever since. I haven’t had one, but the look of this dress may be reason alone! I think it is so unique and could be a real timeless piece. Am I confident enough to order it, let alone wear it?
