In the midst of moving house, somehow my Birchbox subscription got lost and instead of being delivered to me, was being delivered somewhere else. I went a couple of months without it and then began really missing getting a little parcel each month with lots of surprises inside! Each time I see a picture or post about ‘My Little Box’ my heart does a little dance. I have such a soft spot for pretty illustrations and packaging and this subscription box is like no other. I finally decided to subscribe and was not disappointed when I did.
I think what really sets this company apart from the rest is that it is based in Paris and this is reflected through the design and contents of the boxes. Unlike other monthly subscription boxes, with ‘My Little Box’ you can sign up for a month and then cancel the subscription, there is no 6 month contract tying you in for longer than you would like. I signed up a couple of months ago and up to now have had no reason to want to stop the little packages arriving!
Each month the theme of the boxes are different. For example, last month was called ‘My Little Gypsy Box’ and it was festival themed. With this month being all about Fashion Week, it makes complete sense that this would be the theme for Septembers box.
Each box comes with a sweet illustration and the packaging is different, to mirror the theme, every month. The box and illustrations alone are enough to make me smile!
Inside each box you also get the monthly magazine which includes information about the contents of the box but also fashion & beauty articles too.
Inside ‘My Little Fashion Box’ were the following items:-
1. Kerastase Fixing Spray
2. La Roche-Posay BB Cream
3. My Little Beauty Red Dingue Lip Colour
4. American Vintage Scarf
5. Alfa-K Nail Art
6. A Bottle of Cointreau!
The beauty bits all came in a little drawstring bag which reads ‘Trust me you are lovely’. I usually don’t keep things like this but this is too adorable to let go of! It will be perfect for putting bits and bobs in when travelling. The ‘My Little Box’ team have their own beauty line, called ‘My Little Beauty’. Last month I received a bronzer and I have been using it almost every day for the past two weeks. It is such good quality and the packaging again, is adorable. The lip colour included in this months box claims to be long lasting, high colour and comfortable to wear. I can’t wait to try it!
The boxes are £11 each plus £3.95 which at first I did think was quite pricey, especially when compared to other subscription boxes. However, after receiving two boxes from the company now I feel like I get my moneys worth with the contents of the box. I am happy with every single item and nothing will go to waste, which I can’t say all that often with other subscriptions I have had. I also like the fact that you can sign up for a month at a time, and cancel whenever you like.

I hope you are all having a lovely day!
