Birchbox | February

I always get so excited when I see that my monthly subscription to Birchbox has arrived in the post! With 6 new products to try out, often from brands I haven’t heard of before, it is something I look forward to receiving.
What was in this months box?
London Butterflies – Whipped Body Cream (£37)
I have never heard of this brand before but looking at the RRP of this product, I am expecting luxury! This lotion is quite fragrant as it includes jasmine, starflower and almond oil. It can be used all over the body as a body lotion. I don’t tend to use body butters or creams but I am going to have to try this!
theBalm Cosmetics – Stainiac in Beauty Queen (£10)
At first glance, you are unable to tell that this is from theBalm but perhaps that is because it is a sample. I was expecting this stain to be similar to Benefit’s Benetint but it is a gel formula rather than a liquid. It can be used on the lips as a gloss or on the cheeks to add a flush of colour. Once applied, the colour is a nice, soft pink.
Cynthia Rowley Beauty – Eyeliner in black (£11)
The texture of this eyeliner isn’t as creamy as the Urban Decay Glide-On pencils but I was impressed with how easy it went on. I am expecting quite good lasting power but it is easily smudged out for a softer look.
Agave – Healing Oil Treatment (£16)
I love using oils on my hair so I was happy to see this included in the box. The treatment claims to smooth, strengthen and boost hair shine so let’s hope that it does!
Caudalie – Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (£45)
I cannot wait to try this! The Caudalie Serum will be the most high end serum I have ever used and I have high hopes. It is said that if there is one skincare product you spend a little bit more money on, it is a serum. This one in particular is oil-free and claims to leave skin glowing.
Vita Coco – Coconut Oil (£10.99)
Coinicidentally, I have been thinking about introducing a coconut oil into my routine for a while. This can be used as a moisturiser, a hair treatment and also for cooking with! I am a bit sceptical about using it as a face moisturiser but I definitely want to try this on my hair. I will keep you posted on this one!
I signed up for a 6 months subscription for £60 plus £2.95 a month postage and packaging. Find more details on the packages available here – https://www.birchbox.co.uk/subscribe
