Although this week is set to be particularly gloomy where weather is concerned, Spring has officially sprung. The sky is blue more often than it is grey, blossom is in full bloom and the birds are out to be heard. It can be a bit tricky when it comes to getting dressed of a morning in the UK at the moment. It is still quite chilly and the sun seems to want to play hide and seek behind the clouds all day, every day. That’s April in England for you!
It isn’t summer dress weather yet, BUT it’s time to leave winter coats at home and experiment with adding colour. I found this top in New Look last week and put it with an all black ensemble. The pop of colour gives a nod to Spring, but the black keeps it appropriate for the cooler, grey days. I can’t seem to get enough of this blush pink colour right now and the embroidery has me swooning. The three quarter sleeves are perfect for gals like me who don’t love their arms too!
I’m gonna be wearing this throughout the Spring & Summer months. I plan to brighten it up when the weather improves, with light blue jeans and MAYBE even a lil’ straw hat.
