COPENHAGEN || A PHOTO DIARY

COPENHAGEN || A PHOTO DIARY

Copenhagen seems to have been the city on everybody’s mind this last year. It is easy to see why, now that I have been myself. I booked 4 days away in the capital for Tommy’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint. We spent the days exploring the many sights it has to offer and indulging in delicious food. The cinnamon rolls, oh the cinnamon rolls!

Copenhagen is by far my favourite European city I have ever visited. The interiors were dreamy, the views breathtaking and the way of life quite perfect. There were more bikes than cars. The whole city seemed to run at a slower pace than anywhere else I have been, but in the such a magical way. There was a real mix of the modern and traditional, with just the right balance between concrete and greenery. Every corner we turned there was something worth seeing. I swear every single person looked like they had walked right out of Vogue magazine. Everything was so effortless.

We stayed in Vesterbro, a district a little further out but in proximity to everything you need. There are bits and bobs to see and do all over the city, so wherever you stay you won’t go wrong. Some of our favourite places to eat were right on our doorstep. Getting around was easy, the buses and Metro are easy to navigate. We were able to fit everything we wanted to do in 4 days, with plenty of ‘down time’ – (cause if you can’t go on holiday and stay in bed til’ 12 have you even been away?).

Copenhagen was wonderful. A truly beautiful city.
